Degradation Rates of Plastics in the Environment
This perspective paper by Ali Chamas, Hyunjin Moon, Jiajia Zheng, Yang Qiu, Tarnuma Tabassum, Jun Hee Jang, Mahdi Abu-Omar, Susannah L. Scott, and Sangwon Suh reviews the degradation rates of different plastics in the environment. As plastics are continuing to accumulate at a rapid pace, it is important to consider the degradation rates, particularly in the process of design.
